Esta composición escultórica es obra del escultor Antonio Martínez Santonja. Se realiza tras la construcción del puente de la Almozara en 1987, que sustituyó al antiguo puente del ferrocarril y se ubica al inicio del mismo, junto a la Plaza de Europa.
La composición está realizada en acero inoxidable y presenta un trato en las formas que confiere a la obra un claro matiz aerodinámico. Diversas láminas se superponen rotando sobre un eje central y configurando una forma escultórica que evoca el pájaro americano quetzal. La escultura se levanta sobre un pedestal triangular cubierto de piedra negra de Calatorao
