El Rocío

El Rocío es una aldea situada a 15 km del municipio de Almonte, en la comarca de El Condado, provincia de Huelva, Andalucía. En ella se celebra una importante peregrinación mariana, la Romería del Rocío. La aldea cuenta con 1513 habitantes, si bien durante la romería de Pentecostés el número de visitantes ha llegado a alcanzar la cifra de aproximadamente un millón de personas.

La primera referencia a una ermita con culto mariano en esta zona data de la primera mitad del siglo XIV y se encuentra en el Libro de montería de Alfonso XI, en que se menciona una "ermita de Sancta María de la Rocinas". En 1587 Baltasar Tercero Ruiz funda en la ermita una capellanía, y a mediados del siglo XVII cambia el nombre de Santa María de las Rocinas a Virgen del Rocío.

El Rocío is a village located 15 km from the municipality of Almonte, in the county of El Condado, province of Huelva, Andalusia. It celebrates an important Marian pilgrimage, the Romería del Rocío. The village has 1513 inhabitants, although during the pilgrimage of Pentecost the number of visitors has reached the figure of approximately one million people.

The first reference to a hermitage with Marian worship in this area dates from the first half of the fourteenth century and is found in the Book of Monteria de Alfonso XI, which mentions a "hermitage of Sancta María de las Rocinas". In 1587 Baltasar Tercero Ruiz founded a chaplaincy in the hermitage, and in the middle of the 17th century he changed the name of Santa María de las Rocinas to Virgen del Rocío.

Este pueblo se sitúa muy cerca del Moncayo (en el lado aragonés). Está a 5 kilómetros de otro monumento de la historia del reino de Aragón, el monasterio de Veruela.

El pueblo que hablo es Trasmoz. Dicen de este lugar, que está excomulgado por la iglesia porque había brujas y se hacían aquelarres. También comentan que este pueblo, tenía una pelea por el agua entre dos familias de la nobleza de aquella época, años más tarde, a causa de un incendio, parte del castillo se quemó y desocupado. Es una pena que esta eduficacion con tanta historia, se haya perdido con el tiempo en el olvido.

This town is located very close to the Moncayo (on the Aragonese side). It is 5 kilometers from another monument in the history of the kingdom of Aragon, the monastery of Veruela.
The town I speak is Trasmoz. They say of this place, that it is excommunicated by the church because there were witches and they became covens. They also comment that this town, had a fight for water between two families of the nobility of that time, years later, because of a fire, part of the castle was burned and unoccupied. It is a pity that this education with so much history, has been lost over time in oblivion.

Este pueblo tuvo que ser abandonado por sus habitantes, ya que iban hacer un embalse en la dictadura española. En él, se quedaron edificios, vivencias y muchos recuerdos.

This town had to be abandoned by its inhabitants, since they were going to make a reservoir in the Spanish dictatorship. In it, there were buildings, experiences and many memories.

Este hermoso pueblo está a menos de 10 kilómetros de otro conocido pueblo aragonés como Ainsa, con un casco urbano muy antiguo como bonito que ver y pasear.

This beautiful village is less than 10 kilometres from another well-known Aragonese town like Ainsa, with a very old town like Nice to see and walk around.

Vistas al pasado. Views to the past.

Hoy quiero mirar al pasado,y recordar algunas fotografías que realicé hace muchos años.

Algunas de ellas me gustan mucho,y les tengo un cierto cariño. También siendo autocrítico conmigo mismo,me gusta que haya evolucionado y haya cambiado la perspectiva de hacer fotografías, aunque no pierdo algún toque que me hace ser yo.

Today I want to look at the past, and remember some photographs that I made many years ago.

Some of them I like very much, and I have a certain affection for them. Also being self-critical with myself, I like that it has evolved and changed the perspective of taking photographs, although I do not lose any touch that makes me be me.
